Illustration day 5

I decided to spend day five of the project creating the magazine that was going to place the images in. It was a long process where I created it and printed demos out and tested different orders etc. Then started looking for storied related to time and putting them into the magazine to accompany the illustrations.

After a crate in the lesson I then edited some images better with the advice of Olly and then on my home I went to and art shop to buy some nice paper to print my book onto.

Illustration day 4

In the first day of the second weed I decided to spend the day preparing my illustrations to go in my book. For all of the images I scanned them in and got rid of the dirt from the scanner in photoshop. With all both the pen drawing I turned to the contrast and edited the lines to make the lines clearer. Once they were done I placed them in a folder for the next day.

Illustration day 1

We began the day with and introduction tot he brief which I found very enjoyable because I have been biding my time waiting for an illustration brief. As we were going through the brief we were fed informations go things to look at in our research from artists to films.

I began brainstorming and sketching right away and we spend a bit of time coming up with ideas and tiling about what Beaty meant. Unfortunately the water had a tantrum so we were forced to go home to carry on our work.We were tasked to come up with our concept of Beauty as well as build up and spine of research into artist.. I carried on from were I left of and spend the day and next couple nights researching artist and experimenting with there styles and using their work as inspiration. In the initial batch of research I looked at Christoph Niemann, Jean Jullien, Grace Helmer and Amber Vittora. I also went on to look at Adrian Tomine and Oliver o Keeffe.

I decided that I wanted my project to be about the beauty of everyday breaks from the normal slog of the commute. Initial idea where when you loose an yourself in a book or your phone dies and you imagination runs wild.
